What is Leximun?

The Lexicon Schools, in collaboration with SkillSphere Education, a pan India soft skill development organization, are delighted to bring to you, an Inter-School platform that promotes skill development alongside a global panoramic platform to debate, collaborate, lobby and express yourself-LEXIMUN 2020. The first MUN of its kind being organized by the Lexicon International Schools, LEXIMUN 2020 provides students with an opportunity to work on ‘Creation of a New State’ which has ideal political, social, economic, defence and resource allocation systems.

While following the standard UNA/USA procedure, LEXIMUN 2020 has a very unique theme and format which will allow students to apply a lot of their learnings from academic environments at school.

Creation of a New State

LEXIMUN 2020 is going to put students into a hypothetical situation in which the world has undergone an apocalypse. Only 150 Earthlings have survived and have been transported to a new planet called Rinascita where they have to create a new ideal state with political, social, economic, defence and resource allocation systems that will not lead to another apocalypse caused on Earth by wrongdoings of humanity.

These 150 Earthlings will be divided into 8 different committees with 17 Earthlings (delegates) each belonging to 17 different nations of the world. However, these delegates of different countries shall not criticize each other like they do in a regular MUN. Instead, they will look at the good and bad points of their specific governments, and collaborate to come up with the best system possible.

The 8 different committees are political, economic, social, defence and resource allocation councils, which will provide participating students with a wonderful learning experience.

Orientation: The Lexicon Schools shall be organizing an orientation session for the MUN on Nov11, 2020. The timings of the orientation session are 2:15 pm to 4:00 pm. The invite for these orientations will be shared on registration for the Event. The Orientation session and registration is COST-FREE!

Salient Features

Difference between a Regular MUN and ‘Creation of a New State’ Concept

– Sessions are conducted via Zoom
– Each committee shall be presided over by 2 Executive Board members who are directly SkillSphere Education’s trainers. They are highly experienced and shall guide the committee over the entire day of the conference
– Each of the 8 committees shall have 17-20 delegates only. Hence, LEXIMUN 2020 is for a maximum of 150 delegates roughly. Registrations are strictly on a first-come-first-served basis.
– Participants shall receive the study guides and allotments within a few days of registering
– The last date for registration is 20th November 2020. The sooner you register, the better it is as you get more time to prepare!
– All participants shall receive digital participation certificates. There shall be the best delegate, high commendation and special mention in each committee. They shall receive additional certificates separately.
